One of the most memorable films to come out of Bollywood in the past decade was Gangs of Wasseypur. From Richa Chadha to Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pankaj Tripathi, every actor associated with the film has made a mark for himself. Richa Chadha played the role of Nagma Khatun in the film. Fans still rave about her performance. The scene where she runs after Manoj Bajpayee with the sickle in her hand is etched in the memory of all fans of the rustic gangster drama. Well, she has shared a meme from the film linking it to her wedding that got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha were supposed to marry in June. It would have been a low-key ceremony with functions in Delhi and Mumbai. Richa is from the capital city. Ali Fazal is from Lucknow. The couple had been dating since a few years now. In fact, the date for their registry marriage was set in April.
The actors’ spokesperson told PTI in March, “Given the current scenario and the unfortunate turn of events owing to the COVID-19 pandemic globally, Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha have decided to postpone their wedding functions to the later half of 2020 tentatively.” The couple’s spokesperson added, “They wish for everyone to be healthy and safe and at no cost would want their friends, families and well-wishers to be affected.”
It seems many guests are going to fly in from the US and Europe for the marriage. Keeping all this in mind, the wedding got postponed.
