The tragic death of Sushant Singh Rajput has plunged movie buffs in gloom. At 34, the actor decided to end his life by hanging himself in the bedroom of his Bandra residence. It was revealed that he was suffering from depression since six months and prescriptions were also found in his bedroom. His funeral happened in Mumbai but the last rites were done in his home town, Patna. His father, KK Singh has finally spoken about his son’s death. In a report in a local paper, he has said that the family prayed a lot for a son. They had asked for a Mannat. They already had four daughters and his late mother wanted a baby boy.
He said that they prayed for three years and it is tragic to lose that child so early. KK Singh also said his son told him that he felt low and would talk frequently earlier but did not reveal what had gone wrong at the end. He said, “Jo Likha Hota Hai…Woh Hota Hai.” He said the family never created any kind of pressure on him. It was revealed that his father apparently did not know that his son was suffering from clinical depression. His sister also said that he had no financial issues and no one ever imagined he did take such a drastic step in life.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film Dil Bechara will come on Disney Hotstar on July 24. His fans had hoped for a release in the theatres. It is directed by Mukesh Chhabra, who is his long-time friend.
